What WabiDaily is

WabiDaily shows one figure-drawing reference photo a day, times a short session, and lets you post a photo of what you drew to a board shared with everyone else drawing that day. You can use the timer and draw without an account. An account only exists so a drawing can be posted publicly under a name.

What is collected

• If you sign in with Google: your email address and the basic profile information Google returns (name and profile picture, where you have one). The email address is used to identify your account across sign-ins and to generate a starting handle — the part before the @ becomes a name like @artist, which you can change. Your email address is never shown on the board and is never shown to other people using the app.
• Your handle, which is public, and appears next to any drawing you post.
• Drawings you post, along with the reference they were drawn from, the day, and how long the session took. Posted drawings are public: anyone visiting the board can see them.
• Hearts you give to other people’s drawings.
• On your device only: your timer length and sound preference, plus any drawing you make without an account. Those stay in your browser’s local storage and are not uploaded unless you choose to add them to the board.

How Google user data is used

WabiDaily requests only your basic profile and email address, and uses them for one thing: signing you in and keeping your drawings attached to your account. Google user data is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not shared with anyone else, and is not used to train any model. Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Analytics

WabiDaily uses Google Analytics to count how many people visit and which pages get used, so it is possible to tell whether anyone is actually drawing. It records the pages you open, the site or search that sent you, your browser and device type, a rough location worked out from your IP address (country or city level — the address itself is not stored), and simple page interactions such as how far you scroll and which outbound links you click. It sets its own cookies to recognise a returning browser.

None of this is connected to your account, your email address or your handle: the analytics data cannot be traced back to a particular person. It is not used for advertising, and Google is not permitted to use it to build advertising profiles. Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months and is then deleted.

If you would rather not be counted, any browser set to block trackers, or an extension such as Google’s own opt-out add-on, will stop it, and nothing else about WabiDaily changes.

What is not done

There are no ads and no advertising identifiers. Nothing is sold or shared with data brokers. Aside from the analytics cookies described above, the only cookie set is the one that keeps you signed in.

Your choices

You can remove a drawing you posted from the day’s page at any time, which deletes both the post and the image. You can change your handle from the sign-in page. Clearing your browser’s data removes everything stored on the device.

Children

WabiDaily is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
